CIMmultus™ stands for:
- Convective mass transfer, reduced backpressure, and minimal sample clogging
- Fast product isolation and concentration of diluted samples
- Efficient removal of high molecular mass impurities in polishing steps
CIMmultus™ r-Protein G-1 mL is an improved monolithic column with 1.3 μm pore size and a column volume of 1 mL. It is packed into an innovative epoxy-based housing and is supplied ready to use. CIMmultus™ r-Protein G-1 mL is intended for initial screening, method development, and lab scale purifications. The r-Protein G (recombinant protein G produced in E. coli) is an affinity ligand, used for fast, highly efficient purification of the immunoglobulin G. The Fc portion of antibodies (IgG class) is bound to the r-Protein G without affecting the antigen binding. In an alternative application, the r-Protein G can be used as a platform for binding specific antibodies with their consequent crosslinking. Using this approach, you can prepare your monolithic affinity column for capturing antigens for specific antibodies. The range of polyclonal IgGs that strongly bind to the r-Protein G is wider than with n-Protein A or r-Protein A.
